Everything rhymes with orange
Dang, it's been more than 30 days since any sort of real post. I know
that pictures are worth way more than words, but for some reason you
just can't beat a good old fashioned hand typed entry, or updation if
you will. However, since it's been quite a while now, and my life is
not super interesting these days, and I'm typing this on my cell
phone, maybe I should have just went with the photo update. . . Oh
well...anyway, hopefully I can remember some stuff and at least hit
the high points.
Hallows eve: alyndas in-laws were in town for this one so we tried to
keep it low key and head over to the neighbors for keg water and trick
or treaters. We ended up giving away ALL of our leftover candy I've
been collecting in the candy dish over the last few years (there may
have even been some Portland candy in there, and sorry to the kid that
got the after dinner peppermints from garlic jims...i know, we are
hella cheap!). Other highlite was carving a pumpkin head in order to
impress the neighbors. It was impressive...and also scary for their
kids. Yes, I made multiple kids cry, multiple times.
Work: good news is that I'm moving on up, not necessarily to the east
side but to more of a day shift type role. Only I don't get to be
"on" dayshift since I still have to make sure night shift goes off ok
and that my shift still dominates, even if I'm only there for part of it. I also
spend a big portion of my day complaining as I'm still not exactly
aware of how good I've got it. Aparently those whose first job is
with this company complain way more than the seasoned veterans. Makes
sense...and this is coming from alyndas eye doctor so I guess I
believe it. That was the craziest small talk ever though...and I've
made some pretty small talk in my day.
Thanksgiving: so being that we have no family in the desert,
thanksgiving was spent with friends, some of which I've only just met
even though Alynda has known them for a year. However, we did
purchase two 20lb turkeys. One for now and one for later. Pretty
awesome. Right now I'm into turkey soup. Except that causes problems
for me since I've been known on occasion to waste entire days
accomplishing nothing but eating soup...
Christmas: I would like a rubix cube and a football this year.
Let me know if you have any questions.

If you can't beat'em, sweetums.
Peanuts on the side, chopped cabbage and a foil liner is apparently
how pad Thai rolls down here in the desert. Wierd huh?
